You can’t really claim to have been to Ibiza unless you’ve spent some time in the capital – Ibiza Town. As well as being the largest city on the island, Ibiza Town is well known as one of the best party locations in Ibiza as it is home to legendary clubs like Pacha as well as a huge number of bars, pubs and restaurants. It also has some of the most luxurious hotels and the best boutiques and is a great place for some celeb spotting.
For those looking for an idyllic, beach-based getaway, Talamanca is the perfect place. Located on the south side of Ibiza, only 15 minutes walk from Ibiza Town, Cala Talamanca may not be the most scenic beach on the island, but it is long and wide and has a rustic charm all of it’s own. It’s also able to accommodate a large number of sunbathers so it’s a good choice if you’re not keen on being too close to the next sun worshipper.
San Antonio Bay is located on Ibiza’s west coast and is famous for its gorgeous sunset views. The Bay is just south of San Antonio town and some would say it is that party spot’s slightly more mature relative. It is a more relaxed resort than San Antonio town, a better option for families, but still close enough to the action to make it a good choice for anyone looking to be seriously entertained. The Bay is rumoured to be one of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean and the sea views are some of the best you will find on the island.
Es Cana is one of Ibiza’s smaller resorts that sits on the island’s east coast, just north of Santa Eulalia. Although it doesn’t have the same hustle and bustle of some of the larger places on the island, it’s a lively option for families looking for safe bathing and plenty of beach space to play, and for clubbers who want to be close to all the action but not necessarily right in it.
While it may seem like Ibiza is all about the parties, there are areas of the Balearic Island that have more to offer – one example is Santa Eulalia, a favourite resort of families and holidaymakers looking for a slightly quieter experience of Ibiza.
Perched on the northern coastline of the island of Ibiza, is the small, attractive coastal village of Puerto De San Miguel – a favorite Ibiza holiday destination for young couples and small families during the busy high season. Nestled in a cove protected by rocky, pine covered cliffs on either side, the resort is a peaceful option with the advantage of also being very pretty indeed. [Read more…]
San Antonio is well known as the sun and booze fuelled party capital of Ibiza, but do San Antonio holidays have a different side? Well sort of!
In reality most party-seeking holidaymakers flock to the many and varied San Antonio hotels and base themselves in the town, as it’s the best place to get right in to the thick of the Ibiza action. But spending the nights (and days!) in the bars and party spots of the town consuming interesting cocktails is not the only thing the resort has to offer.
Playa den Bossa was designed with the modern tourist in mind and has become one of the busiest and best-loved resorts on the island. It has almost universal appeal, offering up Ushuaia and Bora Bora to those out to party, a huge sandy beach and the excellent selection of watersports and local activities for holidaymakers who don’t like to sit still.
