Ibiza opening parties are an Ibiza institution. Every year the clubs sling open their doors to hords of raving Ibiza lovers for the first night of the season. Many Ibiza veterans plan their holidays around these parties as they're known as some of the biggest and best of the season.
Opening parties run from the middle of May through until the start of July when the season is fully in swing and everywhere's opened up. The opening night is often seen as a chance for the clubs to show off what enhancements and treats they've come up with for visitors during the off season- new sound systems, decor and residents are showcased and no expense is spared on booking the best Dj's.
If you're planning on heading out to catch the Ibiza opening parties make sure you get your tickets, flights and hotels well in advance. Many people travel out just to catch their favourite opening meaning particularly late June/ early July opening parties can pack the island out.
Predicting opening party dates

Typically Ibiza clubs will hold their opening parties first then promoters who put on nights at that club will hold their own opening party in the weeks after.
