Pacha

pacha ibiza logoPacha is pure class on a massive scale, the various rooms play predominantly house with a real Balearic flavour, although the club is known for including some surprises in its lineups. Pacha's big night is Pure Pacha which takes place every Friday of the summer- 2011 sees the return of Pete Tong's 'All Gone Pete Tong' night for the first time since 2007, along with some great guest Dj's and live acts in the back room. The outdoor terrace looks out onto the front of the club while down below the usually rammed dance floor sprawls over multiple levels running under the DJ booth.

Open all year

What makes Pacha unique as an Ibiza club, aside from its amazing vibe, is the fact its open throughout the year when the other big clubs like Amnesia and Eden close their doors. This is telling of the type of crowd the club attracts, particularly at the weekends trendy local Spaniards cram into the 3000ish capacity venue.

Pacha is a uniquely Ibizan clubbing experience and the buzz and style of Pacha Ibiza is never accurately recreated by the other 'Pacha' clubs you find across the world. If you're a holidaymaker and you’ve only got one decent shirt with you, wear it to Pacha! Despite the dressed up crowd and the high-class vibe, there's little or no attitude most of the time and tourists and locals play nice together, no matter how much booze is consumed.

Pacha's global franchise

There are over 20 Pacha franchises worldwide including most of the worlds major clubbing destinations- London, New York, Sao Paulo, Madrid... the list goes on and on...

Ricardo Urgell founded the Pacha group in 1967 with their first club opening in Sitges in Spain and Ibiza was one of the next to follow. Today the franchise is looked after by Ricardo's son Panchi who has the enviable job of making sure that clubs around the world that carry the Pacha name are up to their standards: "A good location, several rooms, great interiors and the selection of music must be top level." The Ibiza franchise has certainly got all of that.

Pacha on Pacha Ibiza

To come to Ibiza and not visit Pacha is like going to Paris and not seeing the Eiffel Tower. Without Pacha and the personality that it imposed on the island's nightlife in the 70's, it would be difficult to imagine the vitality of todays nightlife, which attracts visitors from all over the world.

Parties @ Pacha Ibiza

Pete Tong returns to Pure Pacha on Friday nights for his 'All Gone Pete Tong' night. The parties taking place through the rest of the week has become stronger with Defected Records having taken up residence on a Saturday, as well as David Guetta's‚ F*ck me I'm Famous night on a Thursday, Erick Morillo’s Subliminal on a Wednesday and Swedish House Mafia on a Monday. In fact in the height of the season its fair to say Pacha has the best back to back lineup of any Ibiza club, open 7 days a week, always with big names behind the decks. Highly recommended.

  • Monday – Swedish House Mafia
  • Tuesday – Pacha Seduction/Flower Power
  • Wednesday – Subliminal
  • Thursday – F*** Me I’m Famous
  • Friday – Pure Pacha
  • Saturday – Defected
  • Sunday - Cadenza

Pacha History

Pacha Ibiza was one of the first Pacha branches to open, back in the days when Pacha wasn’t a worldwide franchise. The club was opened by the group’s founder Ricardo Urgell in what was, at the time, an undeveloped area not far from the port – exactly where you'll still find it today. In the 70's Pacha was a haven for the ‚'glamorous hippies' of Ibiza. Now the club is surrounded by one of Ibiza's most thriving areas and still pulls the ‚'glam' crowd! The club is now run by Francisco Ferrer a born and bred Ibizian who has been working with Pacha Ibiza for 22 of its 35 years
