The Roman decor of Es Paradis in Ibiza's San Antonio district makes it a decadent venue for a fantastic array of nights throughout the week in the Ibiza calendar. Es Paradis also hosts the famous Fiesta Del Aqua water parties where the clubs dance floor gets transformed into a swimming pool – make sure you take a towel!

Es Paradis- Roman decadence in San Antonio

Es Paradis is located smack, bang on the San Antonio waterfront, right in the thick of the San An' action but despite being a notorious haven for 'Brits abroad' Es Paradis is lavish and quite spectacular inside. The club’s has been themed as a Roman palace, with towering pillars, podiums and spiral staircases, as well as a roof that opens in the morning to let in the sun’s rays (and presumably to help dry the club out after one of the infamous water parties..).

Es Paradis is one of the oldest clubs in Ibiza and celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2010. The club has probably become best known for the 'Fiesta Del Aqua' – the water parties - which take place several times a week throughout the summer.

Something for everyone at Es Paradis

Musically Es Paradis is hard to classify as it has one of the most varied music policies of any of the clubs in Ibiza. In 2010 the club played host to the Ibiza Rocks after parties every Tuesday (due to take place every Wednesday in 2011), as well as popular club night Hed Kandi every Saturday. Monday nights in 2011 is all about Fabulush, which is new to Es Paradis that promises, 'Club Anthems, Live Acts and Spectacular Burlesque'. Tuesdays and Fridays are all about the waterparties and Sunday is now host to Urban Heroes, a brand new urban experience, with the  best in R&B, Hip Hop, Grime, Funky House and Dubstep. Thursday nights at Es Paradis in 2011 is Yes! Ibiza which offers clubbers the chance to become part of the show. This year's theme is Es Cabaret- so make sure you bring your corset with you!  Expect glamour, sophistication, a touch of madness and the best electronic house from the renowned residents of Ibiza..

Es Paradis and Eden

Es Paradis regularly goes head to head with its younger neighbour Eden on quieter nights in San An' meaning you can often grab yourself a cheaper nights clubbing by hanging out for reduced or free entry and drinks deals. On big nights at Eden you'll often find a cheaper, but equally busy alternative next door at Es Paradis.

Getting to Es Paradis

Walk from anywhere in/ around San Antonio or get a bus/ cab into the centre of San An and you can't go wrong. One thing to note is that if you turn up to a water party in swimming trunks they won’t let you in so be clever and disguise them under your clothes.

Getting home

If you need a cab either head to the rank in the main square or walk down the road out of San Antonio and try your luck flagging one down. However, if you've just come from the water party and are soaking wet, you'll find it hard to convince a taxi to take you.

Prices

Entry ranges from €25- €50 depending on the night but discounts and group bookings are often available at Es Paradis so ask around and look out for flyers. Drinks are slightly cheaper than Eden, most being €6-8
