San Miguel Hotels

 If you’re looking for a quieter, less hectic kind of Ibiza holiday then San Miguel is a great option. The resort is popular with families and couples as it is set slightly away from the hustle and bustle of all the major resorts in an area of stunning natural beauty. The sandy beach is great for families as the water is shallow and perfect for paddling and the bay is one of the most sheltered on the island. You won’t find the same selection of amenities here, compared with the more developed resorts but there’s a supermarket, souvenir shop and enough bars and restaurants to keep you occupied, most with beautiful views out over the Mediterranean. Despite being slightly quieter, the resort is well connected, with regular buses to the rest of the island and Ibiza Town, Santa Eulalia and San Antonio only 25 minutes away.

San Miguel has plenty in the way of accommodation and many of the hotels and apartments are built into the cliffs, giving the rooms some stunning views. Cheap hotels start around € 70/ night during the peak season in August and from as little as € 30/ night outside of the busiest months (prices are based on a double or twin room or two person apartment). Hotels like the €80 a night Hotel Club Cartago offer all inclusive packages or you can venture into the countryside and choose the four star, €300 a night Can Lluc set among peaceful pine, almond and olive trees.
