San Antonio is well know as the sun and booze fuelled party capital of Ibiza, but do San Antonio holidays have a different side? Well sort of! San Antonio, is one of the most colorful tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. The green palm-lined boulevard, crystal blue harbour waters and glorious orange sunsets all contribute to this vibrant scenery.
A short twenty minute car ride from Ibiza town, San Antonio is easily accesible by land or sea. The large marina houses fishing boats and luxury liners alike, as this town is welcoming to everyone. However, families looking for tranquil spaces and kid friendly activities might find San Antonio a bit frenetic for their taste.
The New Beach, is an expanse of shallow turquoise water with plenty of room to relax and take in the tropical temperatures. Restaurants, offering fresh seafood, are plentiful and hotel accomodations run the gamut from luxurious to charmingly affordable.
It is at dusk that San Antonio really turns on the charm. The sunsets that she is famous for are best viewed from Calo d'es Moro, better known as the "Sunset Strip". This entertainment area has many fun bars and cafes, from which partiers can take in the view. Cafe del Mar is the most popular and has great music pulsating at all hours. Mambo, Kanya and Savannah also pull in the visitors with chic vibes.
The West End is an area of town with the greatest concentration of bars and discos. You can get your groove on nightly at either Es Paradis or Eden. Alternatively hit the strip for cheap drinks then get a cab from San Antonio to Amnesia or Privilege.
