Ibiza Clubbing Holidays

Although Ibiza is a great family holiday destination the majority of its tourist trade is still made up of young people (mostly but not exclusively) looking for Ibiza clubbing holidays. Ibiza is well known as a clubbing mecca with 8 superclubs , an assortment of smaller late night venues and more bars, pubs and sunset cafes than you can shake a stick at, its no wonder Ibiza is the worlds number one clubbing holiday destination.

Planning and booking your clubbing holiday

People holiday in Ibiza all year but for clubbing holidays you’ll want to touch down during the party season which starts from late May and runs through to the middle of October. July and August are the peak season (school holidays) when the island is the busiest with both clubbers and families. Some of the biggest events like the Ibiza Radio 1 weekend happen during August making it a big draw for clubbers but really any time during the summer season you’ll be able to find some top parties every night of the week.

Cheap clubbing holidays in Ibiza

If you want to get a cheap holiday in a good location we recommend either booking early or booking late! The best time to snap up early booking discounts is in the October – December period for the following summer.

Once club dates start to get released from March onwards the best hotels and cheap package holiday deals get snapped up pretty quickly so you’re next best option for a cheap deal will be to wait until the last minute and try and get a booked up on reduced late booking prices, but bear in mind there will be less choice.

Where to stay

Ibiza is a tiny island and the big clubs are scattered liberally around it. San Antonio has Eden and Es Paradis but is also host to the West End ‘strip’ of bars which are popular among party goers as the price of booze in Ibiza clubs is high but the bars have plenty of drink deals to get you ready for a night out. As a result this area is the main hub of cheaper hotels popular with clubbers and a fairly safe bet as a base for your clubbing holiday.

If you’re all about the lasers and not into boozy west end culture its worth looking further afield than San Antonio for your holiday base. Ibiza Town is the capital, has 2 clubs and easy access to the rest of the big nightspots (we also have a good selection of Ibiza Town villas in or around the Ibiza Town area).

Playa d'en Bossa to the South of Ibiza Town is also popular with clubbers. ts the home of Space club and Bora Bora as well as the longest stretch of sand on the island.

Hotels, apartments and villas

Most clubbers will choose a hotel for their Ibiza holiday. These can be booked either as part of a package or directly from the hotel with flights booked separately. Many people make the mistake of booking the cheapest hotel available thinking they won’t spend much time in it. The reality of a clubbing holiday is, for most, that you have to sleep sometime. Very cheap hotel rooms or apartments are unlikely to have decent air conditioning or shutters meaning sleeping during the day will be uncomfortable. Bear this in mind when booking and consider going for the extra expense of a slightly more expensive hotel. You can always save money later by drinking in your hotel and going straight to the clubs. Clubs in Ibiza generally don’t open until midnight and don’t fill up until 1-2am so there’s a whole night before you even hit the club to think about.

If you’ve got a big group together for your holiday villas are a good option. Villas in Ibiza range from sleeping 4 to 30 people and a clubbing holiday in a villa with a big bunch of mates is awesome. You may also be able to throw some wicked after parties (but check with the company or owner you rent it from first!

These guys who are there for the season can be a great resource for you during your clubbing holiday. Only workers and locals know about the best parties and after parties which aren’t advertised on the club calendars. They might also be able to get you cheap tickets to clubs and drinks deals.
