All Inclusive Ibiza Holidays

Ibiza All Inclusive Holidays

all inclusive hotel buffetAll-inclusive holidays have soared in popularity over the last 5 years and you can get some great deals on all inclusive Ibiza holidays.

Not to be confused with ‘full board’ which usually refers to hotels packages which include 3 meals a day. All inclusive Ibiza holidays typically include not only meals but regular snacks throughout the day and more importantly all your drinks at the bar!

How all inclusive holidays in Ibiza work

Its pretty simple really, on arrival at your hotel you’ll be checked in as normal but you’ll also be given a wristband which indicates you’re a fully paid up member of the all-inclusive holiday family. This wristband is your ticket to as much food and drink as you can consume within the confines of the hotel so keep it safe!

Most Ibiza hotels which offer all inclusive also offer normal room only occupancy as well so not all guests at the hotel might be on the same package as you. Make a note of the restaurant meal times and snack times when you arrive, although these tend to be fairly long i.e. 2 hours for lunch, 3 hours for dinner aftr these times the restaurant will probably be shut and you won’t be able to get fed as the kitchen will be setting up for the next feeding.

Quick tipLeather wristbands, bracelets and watches can be used to conceal your all-inclusive hotel wrist strap when you’re out on the town. But don’t take the straps off, you’ll never get them back on!

At the bar there will normally be a limit on the number of drinks you can order at once (usually 4 but sometimes as few as 2). Because drinks tend to come in small cups you might want to get yourself a few on each visit to the bar. Most drinks will be included but anything regarded as a premium spirit including shots like tequila you’ll probably have to pay extra for. The bars in a lot of all inclusive hotels in Ibiza shut earlier or you may have to pay after a certain time whether you’ve got an all inclusive wristband or not. When this happens its time to get out of the hotel and see a bit of Ibiza’s famous nightlife!

Weighing up the pro’s and con’s of Ibiza all inclusive

If you’re planning a clubbing holiday to Ibiza and are looking to keep costs down so you have more money to spend at the bars and clubs an all inclusive package might be a good option for you. Here we weight up the pro’s and con’s to help you decide if all inclusive is right for your Ibiza holidays:

Pro’s

  • Pretty much unlimited alcohol included in the price of your holiday
  • Inclusive meals should save you money on eating out
  • You pay a little more upfront but should need less spending money, holidays might work out cheaper overall
  • There’s often lots of last minute deals on all inclusive holidays to Ibiza
  • Snack times mean you’ll never be more than an hour or so from the next feed, great for scheduling food around your chaotic Ibiza schedule!

Con’s

  • Food on all inclusive’s often has a bad reputation, obviously this will depend on the hotel you stay at and how much you pay but if you’re there for 2 weeks you might get bored
  • Drinks usually come in small glasses and all inclusive drinks don’t include premium spirits, shots or imported beers
  • Pay more for your package and a bigger deposit
  • Your choice of hotel is limited to hotels which accommodate for all inclusive holiday packages
  • Its Ibiza so you might miss out on most of the meals

Things to look out for

With an all- inclusive holiday remember you’re likely to be spending a lot more time in and around the hotel than you would if you rented an apartment, bed and breakfast or a half board hotel. Therefore when you book make sure the hotel looks like somewhere you’ll be happy not just sleeping but eating and hanging out at during the day. The drawback of this is of course that you may end up seeing less of Ibiza but if you’ve done a few trips and have taken in the sights and done the boat trips before and are only returning for the parties the all inclusive option might suit you nicely.

To really get value from the all inclusive meals you should eat the majority of your meals in the hotel. Although make sure you treat yourself at least one night and get out to sample some of the great Ibizian restaurants in Ibiza’s old town.

There are plenty of cheap and cheerful hotels in and around San Antonio which offer all inclusive holidays. The Costa Sur and Club Maratim are both in good locations for the nightlife and offer reasonable all inclusive packages. Alternatively if you head out of San Antonio there’s a good selection of slightly better quality hotels to be found like the Sirenis in Port Des Torrent and the Victoria hotel in Talamanca, both of whom offer all inclusive packages and shouldn’t break the bank too much.
