Writing blog posts for Love Ibiza

Something we'd really like to push on the site is getting more people writing on this blog. Its all a bit one way at the moment!

Although the facility has always been there for members of the community its not something thats ever really been promoted or explained although we've had a few submissions, most of which I haven't posted so I though it was worth running through a few things for anyone who'd like to write here.

Why would I want to write a guest post on Love Ibiza?

Well I'm not going to pay you if thats what you're thinking! There's plenty of good reasons for blogging, which might include...

• Share your Ibiza experiences with the  community
• Make yourself know
• Start a discussion
• Promote yourself or your party/company (read the rules below first though cowboy)
• Budding journalist? Get some practice
• Forgotten how to write? Remind yourself!

Well firstly here's what we're not really looking for...

• Please don't post questions as blog posts. If you have a question send it by email to editor@loveibiza.net and I will post it in the Ibiza Answers section.
• Please don't use the blog to advertise your party or products, at least not in an obvious way;-) If you have a party thats not listed on the club calendar send though the details (editor@loveibiza.net ). If you want us to cover the party on the blog send us some extra info and we'll see what we can do. Dropping links and promotional content into your post is cool but do it in a useful way.
• Press releases go in the press release section. If you're logged in you can add your own press releases.
• Posts should be original, not posted elsewhere and should be of a reasonable length i.e. not one sentence!
• Our community don't need viagraa and we're happy with our weight/ penis size thanks so no spam. All posts get moderated anyway before going onto the site

If you're blog post doesn't fit into any of the above, great. Apart from that lot anything you want to write thats Ibiza or dance music related or that you think would be of interest and value to our community go for it- your contibution will be greatly appreciated.

If you're not sure about your topic or want to talk things through before you get in there and start writing just drop me a line, that address once again...editor@loveibiza.net

How do I submit a blog post?

Easy...

• First you'll need to be registed with the Ibiza community and logged in- you can register here
• Once you're logged in make your way back to the Ibiza blog page
• Under the main heading you should see some buttons, the last button will be 'My Account' click on that then click the 'Write new entry' button.
• This should open a window where you can write your post, upload images etc. When you're done, hit save. 

The post will be moderated and if we like it it will be published on the site in a day or two.

If you have any problems with submitting a post just write it out and email it to us and we'll stick it up for you.

It would be great to see some budding authors contributing here. I look forward to reading your posts:-)
