We've heard unconfirmed rumours that dc10 will be returning to your Ibiza schedule in 2010 featuring it's iconic Circo Loco party.

Like we say the details we have on this are speculative at best but I know there's a lot of love out there for dc10 (which I was pleased to see mixmag recently name as one of their 'clubs of the decade').

After an exceptionally poor 2009 lineup El Divino finally announced what many had predicted that the club would not be opening under current management in 2010. In a slightly less predictable move though a couple of weeks ago Ibiza Spotlight reported that the El Divino venue would be taken over by Pacha in 2010 and, presumably, continue functioning as a club. This is a turnaround from earlier reports that the pier was going to be ripped down in the winter to make way for a new development in the marina.

El Divino has been going downhill not so steadily since losing Hed Kandi (its only real international night in 2008) to Space last summer. Pacha stepping in and taking over El Divino probably means the clubs survival is guaranteed for 2010 which can only be a good thing for the Ibiza club scene although obviously having a superbrand like Pacha running 2 venues in Ibiza is going to raise concerns with some about diversity in the scene.

I know there's a lot of DC-10 fans on Love Ibiza. A while back I posted a summary to the whole closure saga. Well there's an update but its not good news- Ibiza voice and Ibiza blog have both covered this so I'll let them break the bad news to you!

Personally I'm not surprised at all. If it was the UK there would be no appeal, the club repeatedly broke the rules, end of. This being the Spanish authorities obviously things are less clear cut. Thats not to say I'm not disappointed, the Ibiza scene will be less colourful this year without DC-10, but the show goes on.

A few people have been asking about whats happening with DC-10 in 2009 and I keep saying we don't have any information you haven't seen published elsewhere. We don't have any contacts with the DC-10 promoters so getting decent info on whats actually going on with this club is harder than the others.

Anyway I thought it might be useful to give a quick summary of the DC-10 closing saga for anyone who's following this story so you don't have to dig around various sites. I'm actually a bit surprised how much interest there still is in this place, its a cool club and has thrown some pretty mad parties in the past but with daytime opening hours ban in Ibiza now I'm not sure what the future can hold for DC-10 and CircoLoco.
