Space Closing Party Review

Playa den Bossa- the slightly more pretentious beach towns in Ibiza is home to Space, arguably the best club in the world. If you’ve never been you really need to book up for next year and go- it’s a totally amazing experience. We were there for the first of their two-day long closing parties, Café Olé on the Saturday for a night of pure clubbing, great entertainment and a touch of glamour.

We arrived in Playa den Bossa a day before the event but it didn’t take long to become consumed in the vivacious atmosphere. I felt a flutter of excitement in my stomach each time I passed Space in the day, it just has this aura that promises such hedonism and a chance to be surrounded by fellow clubbers that f*cking love it too.

The sound quality at Space is second to none and the lighting and effects were impressive. A significant highlight of the night was the performances and live shows conducted by the Café Olé animation crew. The main stage performances included an eye-popping mix of fire-breathers, male strippers, handsome pole dancers and gorgeous girls with bulbous breasts and nipple tassels. While, dotted around the remaining rooms were talented acrobats and dancers wearing eccentric costumes. It really was truly titillating to watch!

The crowd was heaving but you could thankfully find space to dance. The various DJs kept the atmosphere electric emphasised by masses of streamers flying from cannons from every angle. I have to be honest, it’s as though someone had pushed fast-forward on the night, as it went so quickly. The crowd certainly reached new heights at this closing party and set the standard for the following day’s closing ceremony.
