Some tips for finding cheap last minute holidays to Ibiza

If you still haven’t booked your summer holiday yet its not too late to snap up a bargain late deal and get out for a week of fun in August or September. Right now you can get 1 week package deals during August from about £300 and in September from £200 which should leave you plenty of spending money left over for hitting the clubs!
If you’re looking for late deals, here are some tips to help you find the best Ibiza holidays at the best prices.
Be flexible…
The cost of late holiday package deals is usually driven by fluctuations in demand for flights and hotel rooms. If travel agents have a day when there’s lots of empty seats on planes and vacant hotel rooms in Ibiza they’ll be able to pull together a cheap package deal. On the contrary when flights are busy, airlines won’t be dropping their prices so the cost of your package will include the full airfare so the trick is to be as flexible as possible on your departure and return dates so when you search for holidays you can pick the cheapest package from a wider range.
In Ibiza mid-week departures from the UK usually have the lowest prices and best late availability because most early bookers opt to fly at the weekends and the weekenders fly from Thursday- Monday. When searching for dates try looking for a Wednesday departure and select the option of including holidays a few days either side of your chosen date
Weight up all your options
When you first start searching for Ibiza holidays look for deals on all types of hotels, all inclusive, full-board, self-catering and then work out which is the cheapest once you’ve taken everything into account. Most likely self-catering will come up the cheapest but then factor in the price of eating out every day (come on, you’re not really going to cook dinner are you!) and you might be better off with an all-inclusive package.
Fly from less popular airports
Gatwick and Heathrow are the UK’s most expensive airports for airlines to fly out of- therefore flights from them will often cost more. If you can fly out of places like Bournemouth, Manchester or Leeds instead you’re likely to find cheaper packages. Obviously you’ve got to factor in the costs of getting to the airport so if you’re in London it might not work out any cheaper for you to drive up to Manchester but Stansted or Luton might be better options than Gatwick.
Resorts in Ibiza
For cheap last minute deals the San Antonio Bay area usually has the best bargains and you’re money will go quite a long way here with some decent hotels and self catering apartments. San Antonio Town also usually has good late availability, although it tends to be the worst hotels which get left here so you really do get what you pay for!
