Sander van Doorn Cream Review (by Sander)

Well it's been almost a month since I appeared as the new Resident for Cream in Ibiza at Amnesia (last night was my third appearance this year), and I have to say I've loved ever minute of it. I've seen the island get steadily busier over the last few weeks and the crowds getting more and more up for it. The weather has been fantastic every time I've been to the white isle, and yesterday was no exception as I landed in the early evening.

At Cream it was the launch party of the 'Cream Ibiza' album, mixed by myself and Eddie Halliwell - both Eddie and Ferry Corsten were also playing last night. This is the first of three dates for the three of us playing together - we're swapping set times each time so that we each all play the second, third and closing sets at Amnesia once.

So last night was 1-3am, the club as always was packed and the crowd were really up for it. I had a huge response for my SvD Presents...Purple Haze 'Bliksem' track that was released this week on Beatport - I've played it every week and the response gets bigger everytime as the track steadily turns into my Summer anthem! Other standouts from my set were my Killers remix and a new Sander van Doorn single set for release in September - I'm roadtesting it at the moment, and there seems no better place to gauge how big a track is going to be than Cream Ibiza on a Thursday night!

I passed over the decks to Ferry at 3am - later on Eddie took over to take the crowd through to the end, but I had hit the sack by the time the people left in the hot morning sunshine - I'm on the way to Pamplona for the Bull Music Festival today and then tomorrow sees me in the Ukraine - it's a hectic schedule for any DJ at this time of year so it's a case of grabbing sleep whenever I can. I'm off for a tour of China on Wednesday before returning to Ibiza on the 23rd so I'll update you on my antics in a couple of weeks!
