A few people have been asking about whats happening with DC-10 in 2009 and I keep saying we don't have any information you haven't seen published elsewhere. We don't have any contacts with the DC-10 promoters so getting decent info on whats actually going on with this club is harder than the others.
Anyway I thought it might be useful to give a quick summary of the DC-10 closing saga for anyone who's following this story so you don't have to dig around various sites. I'm actually a bit surprised how much interest there still is in this place, its a cool club and has thrown some pretty mad parties in the past but with daytime opening hours ban in Ibiza now I'm not sure what the future can hold for DC-10 and CircoLoco.
Anyway I've patched together a quick timeline of the DC 10 opening/ closing saga with links off to various sources for anyone who's interested.
2005
Antonio from DC-10 tells Beatportal:
"In 2005 the police caught people inside DC10 with drugs and although it was nothing to do with us, they decided to close the club for two months"
2007
DC-10 is ordered to shut for 2 months in June along with Amnesia & Bora Bora following a crackdown on drugs by the Spanish police however the club reopens a few weeks later without serving the full ban following 'negotiations'
2007/ 2008
DC-10 open's throughout the winter including New Years eve (source mixmag)
Feb 2008
DC-10's owner is allegedlythreatened with a jail term for failing to adhere to a council order forcing him to close the club.
June 2008
DC-10 opens as expected on the first weekend in June but soon after the ban from the previous year gets reimposed and the club is ordered to shut again for 2 months
August 2008
The club re-opens having served the ban
October 2008
The club is shut again a week before its closing party with rumours of a 12 month closure circulating. The circoloco closing party happens at Privilege instead of DC-10.
2009
Closed for the season
2010???

thats a fair chunk of cash in todays money! I can't see DC-10 paying that. Where did you read that Jamie? @kyle I'd be surprised if Ibiza spotlight had an opening date up, maybe you are looking at last years calendar?
