Every year we receive lots of questions from our visitors about visiting Ibiza fr stag or hen party weekends (bachelor parties if you're coming to us from stateside!). I've had a stab at answering the question before but thought it was worth going into a bit more detail and exploring some of the main questions and concerns people seem to have about planning their hen and stag weekends in Ibiza.

Is Ibiza a good choice for a stag or hen weekend?

Well obviously it depends what you're looking for from your stag or hen do but Ibiza can certainly offer a decent variety of cheap hotel accommodation, pubs and bars and of course nightclubs. Most of the stag and hen specialist travel agents seem to operate Ibiza options or if you wanted to organise the trip yourself you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to cheap flight and accommodation options. So yes I'd say Ibiza's a pretty good stag weekend destination.

We've heard unconfirmed rumours that dc10 will be returning to your Ibiza schedule in 2010 featuring it's iconic Circo Loco party.

Like we say the details we have on this are speculative at best but I know there's a lot of love out there for dc10 (which I was pleased to see mixmag recently name as one of their 'clubs of the decade').

Its that time of year again when people start to get excited about Ibiza opening parties. We've just updated the opening party page and club calendar to reflect the predicted dates for 2010 opening parties but remember the majority of these aren't confirmed yet, they're just based on last years dates.

Sleep paralysis is a condition I've heard a lot of people describe suffering from upon returning from holidays in Ibiza. Sleep paralysis is a medical term for a sleep disorder which can result in vivid hallucinations. The wiki entry on it has this description:

After an exceptionally poor 2009 lineup El Divino finally announced what many had predicted that the club would not be opening under current management in 2010. In a slightly less predictable move though a couple of weeks ago Ibiza Spotlight reported that the El Divino venue would be taken over by Pacha in 2010 and, presumably, continue functioning as a club. This is a turnaround from earlier reports that the pier was going to be ripped down in the winter to make way for a new development in the marina.

El Divino has been going downhill not so steadily since losing Hed Kandi (its only real international night in 2008) to Space last summer. Pacha stepping in and taking over El Divino probably means the clubs survival is guaranteed for 2010 which can only be a good thing for the Ibiza club scene although obviously having a superbrand like Pacha running 2 venues in Ibiza is going to raise concerns with some about diversity in the scene.

Well it's been almost a month since I appeared as the new Resident for Cream in Ibiza at Amnesia (last night was my third appearance this year), and I have to say I've loved ever minute of it. I've seen the island get steadily busier over the last few weeks and the crowds getting more and more up for it. The weather has been fantastic every time I've been to the white isle, and yesterday was no exception as I landed in the early evening.

At Cream it was the launch party of the 'Cream Ibiza' album, mixed by myself and Eddie Halliwell - both Eddie and Ferry Corsten were also playing last night. This is the first of three dates for the three of us playing together - we're swapping set times each time so that we each all play the second, third and closing sets at Amnesia once.
