24,000 pills seized in Ibiza drug raid on Brit

This was in the telegraph and a couple of other national papers today.

"The 26-year-old is the suspected boss of a gang selling drugs to thousands of British holidaymakers.

Police on the Spanish island launched Operation Calm at the beginning of the year after spotting a parked car with British licence plates which was thought to have been used by drug dealers last summer.

When they searched the vehicle they found the massive haul of pills, each marked with a dollar sign, hidden inside the boot.

Officers also found 924 grams of MDMA powder."

Not a great start to the season for Anglo- Ibizian relations. Visitors to Ibiza this season should probably take this as a reminder that because you're in Ibiza you're not outside the law. See our advice here and here for more on Ibiza, drugs and the law

The telegraph report that the arrest happened at a 'nightclub near Sant Josep' (San Jose) which I can only assume to mean KM5. Was anybody their on Saunday night and see what went down? Are you in Ibiza at the moment and seeing a higher than usual police presence? Let us know in the comments.
