Say the word “Ibiza” and what comes into your head? For me, I instantly think of beautiful weather, gorgeous scenery, hedonism and most importantly, music. Dance music. Be it trance, house or techno, I know that when I go to Ibiza, I’m guaranteed the very finest. However in 2008 the launch of Ibiza Rocks disturbed me momentarily, with their sudden input of music without a repetitive electronic beat... and now I, and every other lover of the White Isle are being asked to accept a genre alien to Ibiza- Hip Hop!

You’ve always had those R’n’B and club classics bars in the likes of San Antonio, but now we’re seeing hip hop artists perform in the very clubs we know and love. Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, P Diddy, Busta Rhymes?! I find it less difficult to understand other urban artists who are performing this year such as Usher and the Black Eyed Peas, as both of these artists have collaborated with the biggest names in the commercial dance music scene, David Guetta and Swedish House Mafia, but I’m just still slightly flummoxed at why these hip hop heavyweights are being given gigs?

The heart and soul of Ibiza might be the mighty San Antonio, but let me introduce you to its slightly meeker and milder neighbour, San Antonio Bay. Many of you might overlook this place whilst checking out the best places to stay on the Island, but don’t let the fact that your hotel is not 10 minutes walk from the West End put you off.
The bay is buzzing with nightlife, restaurants, hotels and beautiful beaches, the perfect base for a holiday on the White Isle.

There are small supermarkets dotted around the vicinity, where you can stock up on essentials, with cheap deals on local beers and spirits.

It’s August, the busiest time of year for Ibiza, and so far it’s been phenomenal! There have been a lot of new additions to the Ibiza party calendar, which has made this summer season one of the most exciting in recent years. One of the most thrilling perhaps is the addition of another super club in the hottest part of town Playa den Bossa- Sankeys Ibiza!

It’s the second Sankeys to open, with the original residing in Manchester UK of course, and is part of a ‘7 Sankeys of the world’ vision that the club hope to achieve by 2015! It’s a 1,500 capacity club with 3 rooms and a roof terrace. Not only this, Sankeys Ibiza has a VOID sound system and body sonic dance floor, which basically means this could be the best place on the White Isle to feel a fat baseline! The club is certainly making its mark in Ibiza, offering clubbers an assortment of party nights and varied line-ups:
