A Winter Holiday Wonderland in Ibiza

Posted by: john in Untagged  on

ibiza sunset in winterIbiza might not be the most obvious choice for a winter break but the much loved Balearic island actually has a lot more to offer than just the beaches and nightlife that have made it such a popular sun seeker destination. When the summer crowds head for home, the island takes on a whole new life and those who are looking for a temperate winter getaway, good food and wine, stylish accommodation and lots to do will find Ibiza fits the bill perfectly.

Winter holidays in Ibiza have one huge advantage over other European destinations and that’s the weather. The average winter temperature in Ibiza is 15 degrees Celsius but you may find – especially in early winter and early spring – that temperatures actually climb to more like 25 degrees Celsius, particularly when the sun is out. Although there can be rain during this time, if the locals are to be believed this will never last longer than three days at a time! There’s also plenty of sunshine, particularly compared to other European destinations, so a winter holiday in Ibiza offers a great cure for the winter blues.

Planning a Stag or Hen Party in Ibiza?

Posted by: john in Untagged  on

stag weekend ibizaWe’ve discussed Ibiza stag and hen parties before on loveibiza.net and like we said then, the idea of stag weekend culture may not sit comfortably with the Ibiza purists, the truth is that these days Ibiza is a multi-purpose destination and while tourist resorts in the rest of Europe are struggling, its Ibiza’s versatility as a destination that will help to keep the good times going.

If you’re planning a stag do or hen weekend then, lets face it Ibiza is the perfect destination. Whether you’re looking for elegant restaurants and fabulous spas, or cocktail fuelled clubbing and late, late nights, there’s plenty to keep groups busy and lots of opportunities for all the usual stag and hen do traditions. It can be a bit daunting trying to put together a schedule for a group trip to the island so here are a few suggestions for an itinerary. If you’re looking to outsource the best man or bridesmaid duties entirely then our friends at Red7 have put together some nice packages for your Ibiza hen weekend or Ibiza stag do which include flights, accommodation and activities and are ATOL protected so you can just roll up and concentrate on the partying!

Looking Back on the Ibiza Summer 2011

Posted by: Isabelle123 in Untagged  on

carl cox at space revolution partyMy, what a summer it has been. We said hello to MTV who, this year, lost their ‘Beefa virginity. The uber cool, and sickeningly luxurious Ushuaia opened it doors, not only to the public, but also to the superstars of the music industry. Urban music shook the island, and people’s opinions. We welcomed new nights and new venues, but we also said goodbye to The Streets, who played their last ever gig at Ibiza Rocks. Lets have a deeper look at 5 things that rocked our G-string this summer:

Chilling Out at KM5

Posted by: guestpost in Untagged  on

Km5 IbizaIt had been almost 10 years since I last went to Ibiza, and there is something to be said about club 18 - 30 holidays and not really getting the opportunity to scratch beneath the surface of Ibiza, to explore it’s hidden sights and uncover the seemingly exclusive nightclubs and venues. This trip however, was different, not least because I was staying a good distance away from the craziness of San Antonio, but because the entire trip had been designed around a tight budget, designed to spend less on the flights while investing the savings in some luxury accommodation (with a pool).

San Agustín, which is situated on a hilltop overlooking the west coast of Ibiza, was my home, and the luxury villa in this charming and untouched area was the base from which I would explore Ibiza properly. Over my five day holiday my friends and I was able to enjoy beautiful seafood and swimming (while dodging the jellyfish) at Cala Carbo, a wonderfully secluded beach which was around 10 minutes’ drive from San José, excellent evening meals and people watching in Ibiza town as well as a stand out and totally unexpected night at a roadside venue we knew only as KM5.

Ibiza for the Euro strapped

Posted by: Stephanie87 in Untagged  on

eurosThe draw of Ibiza is undeniable. The sun, the beaches, the nightlife, the hedonism and the ambience. There genuinely is nowhere else on earth that comes close, which is why hundreds of thousands of holiday makers come here year after year.

If you’ve been bitten by the Ibiza bug, then you’ll know that it’s impossible to take any other holiday resort as second best. So when I was faced with the prospect of choosing a ‘less expensive’ place to party last year, I made sure I found a way to get myself over to the White Isle, and do it on a budget.

Cream IbizaSo, this year’s summer season in Ibiza is rapidly drawing to a close but don’t get too sad, as there’s plenty of partying to be getting on with until then. And we’re giving one lucky winner the chance to attend one of the White Isle’s most celebrated closing parties- Cream at Amnesia! Fire Performer in Ibiza!

Posted by: guestpost in Untagged  on

Energy EntertainmentsOne performance watched in Australia ; the creation of a handmade fire staff; fire for the first time; mesmerised by the sound; hypnotised by the flames; pores open from the heat ; all senses heightened; no thoughts; no distractions; a time to express ; one moment; one chance ; complete enjoyment. That’s how it all started 8 years ago, but for the past 4 years, Ibiza has been my playground.
