We know travel insurance is a boring subject, until you need to make a claim, then it becomes pretty damn important.

Drugs and alcohol- if you damage yourself, someone else, or get arrested while you're under the influence your travel insurance probably won't cover you

Cancellation- if you need to cancel your holiday for personal or medical reasons your holiday company is unlikely to refund you the full cost of the holiday. In this case if your policy has cancellation cover you can claim back the lost money.
